Season 7 premiers on PBS on March 6

The “Texas Music Café”® TV program, (TMC) launches on PBS on Saturday March 6th on KAMU College Station, TX. The TMC will broadcast alongside Austin City Limits and Soundstage during the Saturday evening “Music Block” during KAMU’s 2009 Pledge Drive. TMC is made available FREE OF CHARGE to all 300 PBS stations. TMC’s Affiliate Relations Staff began contacting stations last week about the availability of the program. 

Stations that have just signed on to air the program include:

KAMU – College Station, TX.

KETA/KOED/KOET/KWET – Covering the entire state of Oklahoma

KNCT – Belton, Temple, Killeen, TX.

METV – Austin’s only 24Hr Music Channel

KMBH – KMBH-TV60 and KMBH-DT38 serve a population of 900,000 people, from Brownsville and South Padre Island to Raymondville, from Harlingen to Rio Grande City, from Hidalgo to San Manuel. Four counties in the Rio Grande Valley: Cameron, Willacy, Hidalgo, Starr. On the Mexican side of the border, our signal on the air covers the northern part of the state of Tamaulipas. Our signal is carried by Cable companies serving the families of the Valley as well as those in the area of Matamoros and Reynosa. Direct TV and Dish Network also carry our local signal for users of satellite TV in the Rio Grande Valley.

Stations that have expressed interest but have not yet added the program include KERA-Dallas, KHUT-Houston, KOCV-Midland/Odessa, KLRN-San Antonio, and Waco’s own KWBU.
