Paul Concillio II (center) passed away November 1st, 2009. He was father of Paul Concillio III (Video Director/TMC) and a friend and mentor to The Texas Music Cafe®. Paul was an audio genius who gladly shared his vast knowledge of microphones and recording technique with our staff of budding audio engineers.  Paul was an enthusiast of “Live Recording” and preferred the spontaneity of live performance over studio recordings.

“We were fortunate that he graced so many Texas Music Café tapings with his warm presence, gentle nature, and delicate advice when he saw us struggling. I admired Paul II deeply for his patience, kindness, and his comfort level with being an “audio nerd” (we never ran out of things to talk about). The only person I’ve ever known with the same birthday as mine... I found a deep connection to Paul II for sharing a birthday but more for sharing a passion for the challenges of live music recording. I can only aspire to someday be as patient, kind, and knowledgeable as Paul II. I am honored to be just one of the many (echoes) he leaves behind…” – Chris Ermoian (Producer/TMC)
