A Pre release version of January's PBS release of Texas Music Cafe's
> "Class of 87" documentary was submitted to the 2009 Telly Awards and
> received a bronze award. The 60 min. program is one program in a 13 part
> series of "Texas Music Cafe". This is TMC's first Telly Award in it's 12
> years of producing the show which began in 1997.

> The "Class of 87" program highlights Kent Finlay's San Marcos based
> "Cheatham Street Warehouse" and a group of now famous Texas songwriters
> who all started their careers at this classic venue. Performers include:
> James McMurtry, Todd Snider, Terri Hendrix, Bruce Robison, John Arthur
> Martinez, Hal Ketchum, Lloyd Mains, Big John Mills, and Kent Finlay.

> The show was produced by The Center for Texas Music History at Texas State
> University San Marcos and E-Cleff Productions Inc. TMC's parent company.
> Dr. Gary Hartman, Director of The Center for Texas Music History is the
> show's Executive Producer. The show was produced and edited by Chris
> Ermoian. The script was written by Deirdre Lannon and voiced by Dr. Gregg
> Andrews. The audio was recorded and mixed by Gary Hickinbotham at The
> Firestation Studios with assistance from student volunteers from the Sound
> Recording Technology program at Texas State University.
